- Townsend Manor Inn, 714 Main St. Fri-Mon in season. Laid back and homey. Off-season, on some Friday afternoons, they hold fund raising dinners.

- 1943 Pizza Bar, 308D Main St. Only pizzas and salads. Wants to open a larger restaurant at 400 Main St. Has pizza truck for events. Yelp
- Pip's Café, 218 Main St. Breakfast and lunch only. Only pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches. Only a few salads are gluten-free. Closed Tues. Yelp

- Little Creek Oysters, 211 Carpenter St. Known for shuck your own oysters. Has vintage Volkswagon Shuck Bus that can be hired for events. Yelp

- Common Country East, 111 Main St. Formerly Crabby Jerry's. Seasonal. A day-to-night club concept. A cowboy bar. Yelp.

- Crazy Beans, 2 Front St. Breakfast and lunch every day. Very traditional breakfast. Uses butter-substitute for egg cooking. Closes 4 PM. Yelp

- The Old Bait Shop. 37 Front St. (Former location of Little Creek Oyster.) A liquor license has been applied for. It will have a full kitchen.
- Ellen's on Front, 38 Front St. Closed Wed in off-season. No lunch Thur in off-season. Has GF and DF options, but not noted on menu. Big on takeout. Only burger option has cheese. Will use dedicated pans on request. Mom is celiac. Yelp
- Alpina, 45 Front St. Dinner Wed-Sun. Brunch Sat-Sun. [Northern Italian/Swiss inspired food] Expensive. Closed Monday. All the "Large," except the Wiener Schnitzel, can be GF and DF. Yelp
- Anker, 47 Front St. Tues-Sun. Seasonal. [all seafood, per market] Yelp
- Green Hill Barbecue, 48 Front St. Open for lunch every day. Has options. Collards only GF and DF side. Food is way too salty. Yelp
- Tikal, 110 Front St. Has breakfast. Latin/Mexican. No online menu. See Yelp photos for takeout menu. No breakfast menu. But corn tacos spike one's blood sugar. Yelp
- Casa Amigos formerly Agave Grill & Cantina, 110 Front St. Mexican. Dinner only. Limited options. Expensive, but $19 cheeseburgers. Fries not GF. Try for rice & beans or guacamole substitute. Check griddle. Closed Monday. Yelp – Find Me Gluten Free
- Olive Branch, 120 Front St. Good. Not cheap for lunch, as the only gluten-free options are the dinners. Yelp – Find Me Gluten Free
- Noah's, 136 Front St. American seafood and local ingredients. Big on small plates. Closed Wed/Thur. Lunch is only Fri-Sun. Expensive. Popular. Yelp
- Sakura Japanese, 204 Front St. Lunch and dinner every day. Yelp
- New China, 206 Front St. Chicken with broccoli is Diet Special. Yelp
- Demarchelier, 207 Front St. Dinner only, weekend brunch. Dairy in everything. Yelp
- Patel Pizza, 208 Front St. Getting approvals to do the build out. (Formerly a dry cleaners.)
- Front Street Station, 212 Front St. 12:00-7:30. Closed Sunday. [American (Traditional) - table cloth] Should be able to get something. Lots of things are deep fat fried. Sweet potato fries were GF, but they also have onion rings. An email tells me to ask server to cook in separate pans and not on griddle. Yelp.
- Port Bar & Grill, 104 3rd St. Seasonal. Notes gluten-free options. Not a lot. The only fresh seafood is raw, like sushi and poké. Paying a premium to be on the water. Yelp.
- La Capricciosa's Brick Oven Pizza, 135 3rd St . Has gluten-free pizza, and a full menu including cheeseburgers. Yelp.
- Sterlington Deli, 3 Sterlington Commons/325 Front St. Breakfast and lunch every day. Closes 5 PM in season, 4 PM off-season. Mostly sandwiches and has gluten-free bread in the freezer. Order sandwich ingredients without the bread. Does have griddle food with wheat cooked on it. Will use pan if requested. Also has salads. Before I skipped the bread, I had to be sure the board and knife were clean, and the toaster not used. Unlimited tap water is $0.95. Yelp
- Rinconcito Hispano, 7 Sterlington Commons/325 Front St. [Salvadorian] Open every day until 10 PM. 5-stars. Mostly takeout. Yelp. [Bistek has soy sauce. Maybe grilled chicken, but their English is weak.]
- Terra at the Greenporter, 326 Front St. No restaurant. Coffee bar in the morning and "bites" at the bar in the evenings. Yelp
- Rose Deli and Restaurant [Mexican], 74365 Main Rd. [past Moores Ln] On a visit, I learned that nothing is gluten-free, though she may not have understood me. Menu at Google. Not much at Yelp.
Restaurants in Southold:
- Sophie's Rest, 730 Main Bayview Rd. Extensive menu of bar-type food. Known for their prime rib night on Tuesdays. Must reserve the prime rib in advance. Yelp.
Attractions:
- Storefront walk. 1-1/8 mile. Walk down First to Center St. Left to Main. Then sticking to the near side of the street walk to Front and then to 3rd St (the stop light). Cross to the far side, and trace the route back. When passing Mitchell Park go in and ride the carousel. When at the intersection of Front and Main, turn right and walk down to the water and back up the other side of the street. Turn left at Center St.

- Carousel [4-9 until school closing, then 10-9]
- Best location to view the sunrise: Park at the Orient Point Ferry and walk to the end of the point. Or bike the whole way. 10 miles.
- 67 Steps Beach North on Main Street, jog to the right when crossing North Road. Sound Road leads to beach. This is the beach where a car being chased by the police drove off the end at full speed.
- Norman Klipp (Gull Pond) Beach. Large parking. Circle around Stirling Basin.
- Downs Farm Preserve, Cutchogue. 51 acres. 10.6 miles away. need windless day to bike, or bus one way [schedule above].

- Mitchell Park Farmers Market. Fridays 2:00-5:30. KK is there from late June. Grass-fed beef from North Fork Cattle Co. Chicken. Seafood. Shellfish. Mushrooms.
- Southold Fish Market, 64755 Rt 25, Southold. 2.0 miles. Open daily. Also restaurant with seafood sandwiches and lots of fried fish. Yelp.
- Farmer Joe's, 1760 Albertson Ln, Greenport. 2.4 miles - vegetables, berries. Stand is a trailer. Open 10-6 daily (May 15 - Nov 1)
- KK's The Farm, 59945 Main Rd, Southold. 3.6 miles - vegetables and fruits, big on tomatoes [Biodynamic farming] Fri-Sun 9-5. Also Greenport Farmers Market.
- Country View Farm Stand, 57995 Main Rd, Southold. 4.0 miles - fruit and pies. Some vegetables. Open 9-6 daily, from first weekend in May to weekend after Thanksgiving.
- Deep Roots Farm, 57685 Main Rd, Southold. 4.1 miles - has pigs, chicken, vegetables, fruit and eggs. Daylight hours seven days a week.
- North Fork Flower Farm, 48455 County Route 48, Southold. 4.7 miles
- Little Ram Oysters, 12710 Soundview Avenue Southold. Only in season. Also happy hours on Wednesday 5-8. 5.6 miles
- Treiber Farms, 38320 County Route 48, Peconic. 6.7 miles. Organic fruit, vegetables, jarred goods. In season open every day 10-8. Off season Fri-Sun 9-5. Also Greenport Farmers Market.
- Wesnofske Farms, 36020-36226 County Route 48, Southold. Fruits and vegetables. 6.9 miles
- Farmer Mike's Farm Stand, 37700 Route 25, Peconic. Vegetables. 7.9 miles.
- Krupski Farms, 38030 Route 25, Peconic. Opens end of August for fall season. Big on watermelons, pumpkins, Halloween and Christmas trees. 7.9 miles

- 8 Hands Farm, 4735 Cox Lane, Cutchogue. Grass fed lamb, pork and chicken. Open Thur-Sat. 9.6 miles on North Rd.
- Wickham's Fruit Farm, 28700 Main Road, Cutchogue. 200 of 300 acres are in fruit. Big on cherries and foods made from cherries. 9.7 miles.
- Browder's Birds, 4050 Soundview Ave, Mattituck. Chicken and other livestock. Every day 9-5. 14.2 miles.
- Patty's Berries & Bunches, 410 Sound Ave, Mattituck. June-September 9-5. Pick your own berries. Also sells berries and flowers. 15.4 miles.
To the East:
- Little Creek Oyster Farm & Market, 211 Carpenter St, Greenport. Mostly a bar and restaurant. Will bring a Volkswagon bus to a party and serve a raw bar.
- Sep's Farm, 7395 Main Rd, East Marion. Produce and lots of homemade using the farm's crops. Grass-fed beef from elsewhere in the state. 1.9 miles.
