"Georgian Tunbridge Ware Work Box Perspective Cube Exotic Specimen Timber Antique"
Large Tunbridge Ware tulipwood box, the top with with perspective cube or tumbling blocks decorated lid, circa 1825. The parquetry cubes showing diverse samples of exotic specimen timbers. Original working lock and key. Some wear to the green baize and boxwood under rim otherwise in excellent sound condition with no damage or repair. The use of tulipwood as a ground veneer and the completely covered parquetry cube top are typical of Regency Period Tunbridge Ware work.
